The Leather Orchid Workshop has a long history of development. For many years, I searched for an orchid design that I truly wanted to teach. Although I had created many different orchids, none of them felt quite right for a workshop.
When I was invited to teach in New York, I needed to develop a project that could be completed within a four-hour class. That challenge inspired me to create this orchid—a design that was not only elegant and realistic, but also practical to teach. It has since become one of my favourite workshop projects.
