Description
Polyvinyl Alcohol (PVA, sometimes referred to as PVOH) is a water soluble polymer used widely as universal millinery stiffener. This should not be confused with Polyvinyl Acetate, also known as PVA ( a popular wood glue) which is insoluble in water. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Polyvinyl_alcohol
The great advantage of PVA stiffener is that fabric treated with it is water resistant. PVA is proving very popular in milinery , it can be used on silk abaca, sinamey, felt and other materials.
All my leather and silk flowers are made using it.
My PVA is supplyed by a premium manufacturer based in Japan.
